I read this quote in Stuff today: “Telecom’s aim in launching Ferrit was to help develop New Zealand’s online retail market,” said Alan Gourdie, Telecom’s retail chief executive.
Ferrit grounded.
As the industry has been predicting for the past year or more, Ferrit is finally shutting its doors this week.
This is unsurprising, given that Telecom has been unable to get the business model to work since its inception over three years ago. Nowhere has a telco been able to run an online shopping mall profitably.
